Preparations
	November 2004 we mailed off the final package with all of the paperwork finished. We went to Phoenix for Christmas expecting to have all spring to prepare for a June departure to somewhere in Central Asia. Three days after we returned from our trip we received an invitation to Ukraine, staging in late February! Could we be ready in just six weeks? We took two days to talk it over, but of course we said yes!
Our huge Moving Sale turned out to be on the same day as South Carolina’s one snow day of the year. We had it anyway and had a good time doing it.
	We put out signs and stacked the stuff into the living room but the tree below is what it looked like that day in usually sunny SC.
Most of the photos are of the packing process as we consolidated the stuff into one room to pack it upfor at least 27 months!
	Step one in the back: prepare the truck and camper for storage. I had to sew together 8 10X10 tarps to create the cover that would fit. I used 6 to create one for the Jeep but it looks like I forgot to take a picture of it before I left.
